Herefordshire Prostate Cancer Support Group

With 52,000 men a year in the UK getting diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, we are here to offer support to men in Herefordshire.
We've been there, we understand, we are patients and we know talking and sharing is helpful
We offer support by listening to the cocerns of individuals and their loved ones as they progress along their journey with Prostate Cancer, sharing experiences and guiding them to helpful information & resources.
We deliver this by:
- Providing opportunities to meet and talk to others affected by this cancer at regular Coffee & Chat sessions, so that people can share experiences, get support ans gain useful information.
-Raising the awareness of the risk to men across Herefordshire through various communication initiatives and working to support testing for all men, encouraging time away from work whether shift based on maufacturing lines to working on farms, as checking yourself via a GP or at a local PSA event is important,as early diagnosis provides for a much better outcome for all.
-Striving for Improvement of all our local health service operaytions concerning diagnosis, treatment & patient support through working closely with local healthcare providers, whilst stimulating & interacting with National campaigns related to Prostate Cancer.
