Kelsam Support Services
Kelsam’s main aim is to provide safe person centred services to vulnerable adults in their own homes, this includes all associated domestic services as well as providing support with personal care, rehabilitation, physical & emotional support, support with tenancy’s and finances. We pride ourselves on enabling each individual to be as independent as is reasonably practicable in all these areas, all service users will be given an initial assessment of need, this assessment will be used to underpin all support plans protocols and risk assessments as well as direct support provided by Kelsam Support Services.
We promote inclusion to the local and wider community and support services users to find, apply for and hold down meaningful activities, paid work placements and also volunteer positions in the local area. Kelsam will provide excellent standards of care and support to each individual, all support staff will receive extensive levels of training specifically tailored around the service users requirements delivered by trainers with a great deal of knowledge and hands on experience within the care sector. This will include all mandatory training and any specific training that may also be required.
Kelsam Support Services will provide person centred support for people who have complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, mental health illness and acquired brain injury. Support will be delivered in service users own homes. We will work with local landlords to help people find a suitable property that will continue to meet the needs of the individual. We will promote the rights and independence of each individual we support, all service users will be given an initial assessment of need, this will be used to develop a support package centred on the needs of the service user. As an organisation Kelsam support has a duty of care to safeguard all individuals in our care and therefore have detailed policies and procedures for staff to follow.
We provide care and support in a non-discriminatory manner to service users irrespective of their ethnic origin, race, creed, colour religion, sexual orientation, gender, marital status, political views, disability or impairments and base our offer of support on the ability of Kelsam to deliver an effective service to the individual.
