Longtown Outdoor Learning Trust

Longtown Outdoor Learning Trust is a registered charity (No.1180322) that provides accommodation (residential and camp-based), catering and programmes of outdoor and adventurous activities to schools, youth organisations, families and individuals.
The site provides accommodation for up to 70 in its residential blocks, and 50 in its campground and includes three accessible bedrooms with an associated shower / toilet room. One of the rooms is fitted with an electric profile bed and a portable hoist and shower chair are available if required. The centre has broad experience of running accessible outdoor programmes for all and has an All Terrain Wheelchair to access all areas both on and off site.
The centre buildings include a variety of training rooms for group sizes of up to 50.
The centre facilities comprise 16 acres of grounds and an array of activity equipment including:
- A rock climbing wall
- High and Low Ropes Courses
- Zip wire
- A training pool for watersports
- Woodland with bivouac shelters and orienteering courses
In addition the centre holds an Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority licence (L16301) to run a range of more adventurous activities throughout the Brecon Beacons National Park and Wye Valley A.O.N.B.
Bursaries of up to 30% of course fees are on offer for children / young people from financially disadvantaged families.
The centre is open all year round, 7 days a week.
