Herefordshire Shared Lives - Shared Days

Herefordshire Shared Lives, managed and commissioned by Herefordshire Council, is a community-based approach to support adults with learning disabilities, mental health or other needs which make it hard for them to live alone, so they can live their lives as independently as possible. Shared Days can also support family carers to continue to care by offering bespoke one to one daytime support for the cared for person.
In a shared days arrangement, you will be matched with a Shared Lives carer with whom you have interests in common and who can support you to achieve your goals. You will spend time with them as agreed between you both and the Shared Lives scheme but not stay overnight.
As no two Shared Lives households are the same, you will go through a careful matching process to make sure we find the best Shared Days arrangement to meet your needs.
If you would like more information on our Shared Days arrangements, our long term arrangements, or short breaks, if that's better for you, please get in touch with the team on 01432 260798 or sharedlives@herefordshire.gov.uk.
