National Star

National Star is an exciting and ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted 2018) independent specialist college with sites in Cheltenham, Hereford and Torfaen (Wales).
We're driven by our vision for a world in which people with disabilities are able to realise their potential as equal and active citizens in control of their lives. This sits at the heart of everything we do, from the personalised and world-class learning we provide at National Star College to training and professional development, specialist services and a range of different services and facilities, which the wider community can enjoy. All of this is underpinned by both our passion to enrich people’s lives and by our moral and statutory responsibilities.
We also offer fantastic Supported Internships, which have been judged 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission, via our Steps into Work Programme at Wessington Court Farm in Woolhope, Herefordshire. Young people are nurtured to develop their transferable skills and are fully supported to find paid employment or voluntary positions, by the end of the programme.
All participating students for the Steps into Work Programme must be 16 to 25 years old and have an Education, Health and Care Plan. To find out more, please e-mail steps-enquiries@nationalstar.org, call 01242 527631 or visit our Supported Internships page.
