Herefordshire Breastfeeding Information
WE are here to support your breastfeeding goal. The good news is that in Herefordshire we have a joined-up approach from the Wye Valley Trust Midwifery team, support workers, health visitors and the children’s centers and the voluntary sector, to support you and your baby in your feeding choice.
In addition to your midwife and Health visitor, you can ring our team of maternity support workers for individualised support & breast pump hire service.

The BF Helpline
Our helpline is available from 9am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays, for telephone advice and home visiting. The number is 07733 264085.
Out of these hours telephone triage for 24hr support 07990 986517.
If your baby is older than 4 weeks and/or under the care of a health visitor and you would like breastfeeding support, call 07870 68271.
Face to face breastfeeding community support
Come along to our new and existing Breastfeeding Support groups, both NHS, private and voluntary groups. We offer support, information and the chance to chat with other trained breastfeeding peer supporter mums, or specialists, in a friendly and supportive welcoming relaxed setting. Groups are free of charge and all new mums and their families are welcome.

Tuesday

10.15am to 11.45am - Widemarsh Children's Centre, Hereford, at Baby Play
11am to 12pm - Ross-on-Wye Children's Centre. Support for mothers by mothers. Contact rosscc@herefordshire.gov.uk or call 01432 260700 for more information, or to book onto a session.
1pm to 2.30pm - Coningsby Children's Centre, Leominster, at Play and Learn.
Wednesday
10am to 11am - Ross-on-Wye Children's Centre, at Baby Play.
1pm to 3pm - De Koffie Pot Bumps to Babies, Hereford, with NCT Breastfeeding Counsellor
