Dementia Matters Here is an independent Herefordshire charity, which supports people affected by dementia or mild cognitive impairment, their carers and families, to remain a part of their community for as long as possible.
We provide a number of different community services in Herefordshire, including:
Telephone Support Line: Available Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm on 01432 804480.
One to One Support:
Home visits or phone calls can be arranged to offer assessment of need, advice and information, and for signposting to available services.
Carers' Support Groups:
Carers can get together to socialise and share experiences, information, and advice, alongside gaining support and education from a member of the DMH team We hold face-to-face carer’s support groups in Leominster, Hereford, Ledbury, and Kington. We also host an online group which meets fortnightly on a Tuesday evening at 7.30 p.m.
Memory Cafes: A monthly comfortable, social gathering that allows people experiencing memory loss and a loved one to connect, socialise, and build new support networks. Currently in Ledbury, Peterchurch, Hereford and Leominster.
