The Garden Room Day Centre - the social centre for seniors
At the Garden Room we run several different options for people.
- It is mainly a facility for the Retired - which includes a Social/Lunch club - with Qualified Care and Experienced people in Attendance
- The bright, relaxing, purpose built - building is located in - Gruneisen St Hereford - the older part of the city in the Whitecross area - HR4 0DX - its facilities inside and out have been aimed with thought and consideration to people with age related illnesses. Outside there is a large patio area and a secure garden with a sensory section for sitting out on sunny days.
- All our staff are Qualified Care Professionals with years of experience in the Care Industry and are frequently updated on training with age related illnesses.
- The Day to Day events and outings are customised around the Individuals attending - Some people attend for the company and to sit relax and give family members that care 24/7 a few hours break and some valuable free time. Others that have had busy careers and then retiring come for a laugh.
- There is always have a lovely group of people attending from many walks of life - experiences from the past are shared - e.g. careers - holidays - hobbies or where people have resided previously.
- The Management will happily answer any concerns or queries you may have and introduce you to people or other 24/7 carers in a similar position to yourselves.
- We have our own transport for trips out - this gives us more flexibility to go to local events and out to Garden Centres and Local Coffee Shops.
- Many of the Local Community Transport Services take and bring people to us - Community Wheels - Dore transport and Dial A Ride - all very good services.
- The Garden Room is open 5 days a week Mon - Fri 9.00a.m. - 3.30p.m. - excluding Bank Holidays
- All Refreshment are included in £68.46 a day - there is the option and an additional charge £9.50 for the 2 course, home cooked lunch - or if preferred you can bring a packed lunch. Coffees etc on outings are covered be the £68.46.
