Vennture
Vennture is an independent charity dedicated to helping people in difficult situations make a fresh start, Vennture is committed to supporting our community. Whether it's in the home, on the streets, in prisons and schools, you'll find us actively working to provide hope and support wherever it's needed. We empower individuals to overcome challenges and embrace new beginnings through building meaningful relationship and travel the journey with you.
Our carefully selected and rigorously trained team come from diverse backgrounds, including teachers, shop workers, doctors, farmers, solicitors, home makers, students and retirees, united by their desire to keep people safe and help people to help themselves.
Support for those going through parental conflict:
At Vennture we have a dedicated team who support families going through parental conflict. Using our core relational mentoring model to support families and professionals build shared understanding of reducing parental conflict and strengthens child-centred practice.
Support for Serving Families and Veterans:
Serving families are pushed to unusual limits, amplified by its repetition. Parenting, moving home, finding schools, jobs and attending family events solo is lonely at best; at worst, isolating. Too many families struggle silently because they are told they need more resilience or should know what they signed up for. This is what we do. We listen, reflect, and share realistic strategies and knowledge that will help families find the best solutions for them. We visit for an hour every week and give every family an extra hour for things like DLA/PIP applications, Family Conversations for EHCPs, referrals to appropriate agencies, and introductions to community support.
Support those involved with the criminal justice system:
Life doesn’t always go in a straight line - and for people who’ve been linked to the criminal justice system, finding stability can be especially tough.
Whether someone has spent time in prison, is managing probation, or is living with the long shadow of past offences or police contact, it can be hard to know where to turn. No one should have to do it alone. Our Link Workers are trained, compassionate and grounded. They understand how tangled life can get, and they know how to walk with people until things start to feel more stable.
Street Presence Teams:
During both day and night, our trained volunteers and staff are a visible, trusted presence in Hereford. You’ll see us walking in our red and blue coats, talking with people, administering first aid, or simply being there when someone needs steady support.
