Everyday First Aid - Community Learning
Our practical and engaging first aid learning sessions are tailored to the needs of the learners, empowering them to help the people they're most likely to be called on to help.
We can run sessions on a day and time to suit you and your groups needs. Sessions can be run during weekdays and on weekends and can take place during the day or evening.
What we do
A few simple skills are all you need to help in a crisis. Due to a person's health, circumstances or age they may be more at risk of injury or sudden illness. To help them it's vital that the people closest to them have the first aid knowledge and the confidence to take action.
By encouraging and helping people to learn first aid skills you will be joining the British Red Cross in our mission to create a world where everyone gets the help they need in a crisis. We believe first aid should be simple and easy to learn. Our approach is built on the latest educational and scientific research as well as our decades of experience. We understand how people learn, retain and recall first aid skills in an emergency.
All of the activities we use in our sessions are designed to meet the needs of the learner and are focused on the actual environment in which they will need to help someone.
Who do we support
We work with a wide range of organisations and community groups who support people at higher risk of sudden illness or injury, including:
- Carers of adults
- People living with drug and alcohol addiction or poor mental health
- People who are homeless and at risk of injury or sudden illness
- Older people whose health may put them at risk of sudden illness or injury through trips and falls
