Crohn's & Colitis UK Herefordshire Group

We are a local Herefordshire voluntary group, part of and supported by the wide range of services offered by Crohn's & Colitis UK. These national services include:
- a telephone helpline for information, financial and emotional support
- parent-to-parent chatline
- young people and family events
- linkages through Facebook and Twitter with other people diagnosed with, or affected by, IBD (Crohn's and Colitis).
Our national helpline
We know it can be difficult to live with, or support someone living with Crohn's and Colitis. But you’re not alone. We can give you the right information and support at the right time for you. We provide clear, accurate and balanced information and can support you to live well with Crohn’s or Colitis.
You can contact our national helpline on Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 5pm (except English bank holidays).

The local Herefordshire group organises:
- Coffee mornings/ open get togethers for people to meet others affected by inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and chat in an informal setting when demand is there
- Education evenings in conjunction with the gastroenterology team at the Hereford County Hospital with a range of specialist speakers
- Fundraising events, such as quiz nights, dances, bingo, race nights and a ladies night, which are open to anyone
- Awareness events at the hospital and across Herefordshire providing information, signposting and informal chats to anyone wanting to know more
We are a friendly group covering a range of people affected by IBD - men and women, all ages, parents and patients etc . We would love to help support more people across the county whose lives are impacted in any way by Crohn's & Colitis.
