Epilepsy
Epilepsy is a condition that affects the brain and causes repeated seizures, which were sometimes previously referred to as 'fits'.
Epilepsy is most often diagnosed after you have had more than one seizure because many people have a one-off epileptic seizure during their lifetime.
Further information about epilepsy can be found on the NHS website.
Epilepsy Action and The Epilepsy Society can also offer advice, information and support. They have helplines and provide an online webchat.
