If you’re looking for ideas to help you and your family stay active and entertained during the Half Term, there's lots of different activities and events taking place across Herefordshire.

Bromyard

Explore the house for family friendly activities (keep an eye on their social media to see what’s coming up!) and navigate the orchard play trail which includes an accessible orchards path, wooden sculptures and a natural play area.
Orchard odyssey half term trail @Brockhampton
Saturday 24 May – Sunday 1 June 10am – 4.30pm
Explore the fascinating world of trees, plants and pollinating insects on this family friendly trail.
Trail price is £3 which includes a prize (normal admission applies)

Hereford
Joy Club Juniors – Hereford’s Inclusive Rave! The Courtyard, Hereford.
Friday 30 May, 2.30pm-4pm
Get ready to dance with DJ Andy and experienced arts practitioner Toni Cook at The Courtyard! This fun-filled event is specially designed for young people with additional needs and disabilities to enjoy with their families. Expect an incredible atmosphere with glitter, glow sticks, and plenty of energy!
Young people under 12 must be accompanied by an adult for the whole session.
Important Information: Tickets are £6 for young people and adults. If you require a PA or access worker, please book a free ticket so we can accurately manage attendee numbers. Each attendee is entitled to one free companion ticket. If additional companion tickets are required, please contact the Box Office directly.
Lego Club at Hereford Library, Hereford Town Hall
Saturday 24 & Saturday 31 May 10.30am – 11.30am
Design amazing models and show off your creative side. Parents and carers are encouraged to join in. Everything is provided, no need to book!

Oak Apple Celebrations at the Old House (Black and White House Museum)

Self led activities that take children through the Old House on a treasure hunt, accompanied by crafting activities with the goal of creating a celebratory garland to honour Oak Apple/Restoration Day.

Vikings and Dragons Inclusive Workshop! The Courtyard, Hereford.
Tuesday 27 May, 10.30am-3pm
Set sail for an epic, Viking and dragon workshop! Embark on a creative adventure with a horde of arts activities, and make new friendships along the way. Our skilled warriors (practitioners) are experienced in guiding young Vikings, including those with special educational needs and disabilities.

Berrington’s little gardeners: plant a seed
24 - 25 May
Self-led seed planting activity, choose either a pumpkin or sunflower seed to pot up in the soil and pots provided (seeds, compost and pots provided).
This activity is free, normal admission applies.
From bulb to bloom half term trail @Berrington Hall
Saturday 24 May – Sunday 1 June, 10am – 4.30pm
Discover all things bright and beautiful on the May half term trail around the Georgis gardens and mansions.

There are two play areas at Croft including a mini castle play area suitable for younger children and a natural play area complete with stepping longs, den building area and giant noughts and crosses.
Busy Bee half term trail @ Croft Castle

An exciting outdoor adventure with bee spotting, pollinating puzzles and bee-themed crafts.
