Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to get involved within your local community, meet new people, learn new skills and help make a difference. You can offer as much or as little of your time as you like and there's something for everyone, regardless of skills and abilities, and for some people, it can even lead to paid employment.
You can volunteer in lots of different ways, from helping homeless people, spending time with someone who's lonely or taking an elderly neighbour's dog for a walk to helping a charity with its IT, finances or social media. Whatever you choose to do, you'll be making a difference to other people's lives, whilst developing new skills and gaining valuable experience. Not only that, volunteering is hugely satisfying and rewarding and is a great way to build self-confidence.
There are over 1,500 voluntary and community groups across Herefordshire, which rely on help and support from volunteers. Take a look at the local volunteering opportunities available today.
